Madame was our first bulldog.
Like allot breeders we know, our first bulldog was a pet. We got Madame as a
cute 5 week old puppy, we didn't know that she was only 5 weeks old and the
person we bought her from didn't tell us her age just that she was old enough
to go to her new home. Madam grew rapidly, and grew, and grew, and grew until
at 18 months old she weighed in at a svelte 70 pounds. We had met some people
from The Pacific Coast Bulldog Club and when we decided that we wanted a second
bulldog they suggested the we breed Madame. That's when we found out about "The
Bulldog Standard". Madame was a balanced little girl, nice head and jaw, good
topline and very good movement, she was just about 2X the size she was supposed
to be. So we bred Madame to a nice standard champion male, which has ultimately
led us to where we are today 5 generations later.
