We bought Gold
from her breeder because she was Kirby's daughter and we fell in love with
her. She never let us down. She was a sick little thing when we got her
but she did turn around and justify our belief that she was a beautiful
bitch. She was truly a showdog, she was ready to go every time she saw the
blue show bag come out. She took Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes at
the D.C. Nationals and went on to be our most successful and consistent
winner to date. She took 5 Best in Specialty Shows, multiple Best of Breeds
and multiple NonSporting Group wins and placements. She repeated her fathers
Best of Opposite Sex the second day of Nationals in Tennessee. She was consistently
in the top three bitches in the country during the three years that we showed
her, and we were the only ones that ever showed her, she was never shown
by a handler. Gold was one of those special animals that only come along
once in a while, she graced our lives for only four years, we lost her to
cancer at the age of four and a half last July. That taught us never to
say never, we had never experienced cancer in our Bullies and I hope we
never have to do it again. Gold is still missed by all of us, she was such
a special girl.
